Dr. Tulip’s impressive qualifications include certifications in Bariatric surgery such as FMIS (Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery), FIAGES (Fellowship of the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo-Surgeons), FALS (Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery), and FMIBS (Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery), USA. She completed her training in Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery at the University of Minnesota under the mentorship of Dr. Sayeed Ikramuddin. Notably, she has been honored with the “Surgeon of Excellence” (SOE) designation in Bariatric and Metabolic surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) in the USA.
Dr. Tulip’s expertise spans Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, General Surgery, and Minimal Access Surgery (Laparoscopic Surgery). After earning her master’s degree in general surgery, she pursued advanced training in Minimally Invasive Surgery at the Rajiv Gandhi University in Bangalore. Further refining her skills, she completed a fellowship in Bariatric Surgery at the University of Minnesota, USA. Dr. Tulip practices her advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery skills at TODS- Dr. Tulip’s Obesity and Diabetes Surgery Centre, Vikram Hospital, and A.V Hospital.
Dr. Tulip has achieved the prestigious “Surgeon of Excellence” (SOE) recognition in the field of Bariatric and Metabolic surgery from the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) in the United States. She has demonstrated her expertise through live surgeries at national and international conferences, showcasing various Bariatric surgeries, including Sleeve Gastrectomy, Gastric Bypass, Mini Gastric Bypass, Banded Sleeve Gastrectomy, and Banded Gastric Bypass.
Specializing in redo surgeries, Dr. Tulip addresses cases where individuals have regained weight after their initial bariatric surgery. Procedures include converting Sleeve Gastrectomy to Mini-Gastric Bypass, Sleeve to Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, and Band to Bypass.
In addition to Bariatric surgery, Dr. Tulip excels in advanced laparoscopic procedures such as Rectopexy, Abdominoperineal Resection (APR), Low Anterior Resection (LAR), Gastrectomy, Colectomy, Nissen’s Fundoplication, and Heller’s Cardiomyotomy.
As a respected faculty member, Dr. Tulip contributes to a two-year fellowship program dedicated to bariatric surgery offered through Rajiv Gandhi University.
