Born and raised in the vibrant town of Nanjangud, Dr. Srikanth Sundaresh is a respected figure, known affectionately as the “Nandu Doctor.” His parents, Smt. Girija and Dr. Sundaresh, laid the foundation for his journey into the medical field, establishing the renowned Nandu Clinic.
Dr. Srikanth’s educational odyssey began at Carmel English School, where he demonstrated leadership qualities early on by serving as the school pupil leader in the 7th standard. His active participation extended to representing the school in various events, including independence day parades, cricket, kho kho, and engaging in extracurricular activities such as singing and skits.
Transitioning to St. Joseph’s Central School until the 10th grade, Dr. Srikanth completed his Pre-University Course (PUC) at Marimallappas in Mysore. His academic prowess led him to the prestigious Adichunchunagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, where he embarked on his journey towards becoming a medical professional.
Choosing to specialize in orthopedics, Dr. Srikanth pursued his postgraduate studies at JSS Medical College in Mysore. His dedication and passion for advancing medical knowledge saw him become a Ph.D. research scholar, focusing on the innovative field of ozone therapy.
Beyond academics, Dr. Srikanth actively engaged in community and professional service. He assumed the role of Secretary in the Indian Medical Association and served as the President of the Rotary Club of Nanjangud. Additionally, he contributed his expertise as a committee member of various academic associations in India.
Recognition for Dr. Srikanth’s work extended beyond national borders. His contributions to the medical field were acknowledged by academic associations in China and Canada, marking his impact on an international scale.
Currently, Dr. Srikanth continues his healing journey at Nandu Clinic and Sundargiri Hospital in Nanjangud. His commitment to the well-being of the community is complemented by the unwavering support of his wife, Dr. Divya Rani, an accomplished anaesthetist.
Family plays an integral role in Dr. Srikanth’s life. His sister, Dr. Deepa, and brother-in-law, Mr. Srigiri, are proud alumni of Carmel English School, just like him. Their children, Sriyan Kumar and Navya, following in their father’s footsteps, are also enrolled in Carmel English School.
